Manifesto

Manifesto

I put forward policies across seven areas. All pledges are published on GitHub and refined together with voters.

1

Analytics Ministry & Data Policy

Analytics Ministry

Policy should not be decided by intuition or mood. Establish a new "Analytics Ministry" that visualizes the current state with data and drives informed debate.

Public Analysis

Publish Japan's challenges in a data-driven format every week, along with the underlying data and assumptions.

Public Media

Create a channel that explains the rationale behind policies. Shift from impression-based politics to a society that judges based on data and comparison.

Tech-Driven Decision Making

Use AI and data to predict and verify policy outcomes. Run the country on continuous improvement cycles.

2

Election & Voting Reform

Election Day Holiday

Make election day a national holiday to boost voter turnout.

Elections as Festivals

Host cultural events around polling stations. Transform politics into something people actively participate in.

Public Debates

Standardize open debates between ruling parties, opposition, and citizens on election day.

The Taiwan Model

Learn from Taiwan's model of turning elections into festivals of civic participation.

3

Politician Accountability & Transparency

Inauguration Declaration

Upon taking office, declare "what will be done by when" with concrete numbers.

Annual Results Report

At the end of each fiscal year, explain what was and wasn't achieved in an earnings-report format.

Public Salary System

Politician compensation should be tied to results and accountability. Make salaries public.

App-Based Salary Review

Allow a portion of politicians' salaries to fluctuate based on citizen evaluations (with required justification).

Transparency Minister

Appoint a minister in each department responsible for making operations visible.

4

Revitalizing Democracy

Roles of Ruling & Opposition

End criticism for the sake of criticism. Build a nation where parties compete through counter-proposals and evidence.

Politics of Mutual Respect

Graduate from divisive politics and create an environment where citizens can discuss issues with mutual respect.

Activate Democracy

Build institutional systems where participation, verification, and improvement are baked into the process.

5

Economy & Growth Strategy

Tax Incentives for IT

Shift to a tax system that channels investment into growth industries. Create a system where companies that take on challenges domestically are rewarded.

Tax Breaks for Top Talent

Build a tax system that makes it easy for highly skilled international professionals to work in Japan. A nation that wins the global talent competition.

6

Immigration & Internationalization

Immigration Policy

Clarify the rules and advance acceptance alongside integration policies as a unified package.

English as Second Official Language

To boost global competitiveness, move toward English as a second official language. Phased implementation paired with frontline support.

7

Education Reform

Rethink Classical Studies

Strengthen education in information technology, programming, statistics, and digital literacy.

Simplify Kanji

Reduce learning costs and redirect effort toward practical skills.
